How to join

We’re always on the look out for new members, although we limit our numbers to a maximum of around twenty singers. We rehearse at the Holiday Inn, Egerton Road, Guildford every Thursday evening at 7.30. You’re welcome to just turn up, although it might be better to contact us first in case we’re doing a gig!

It goes without saying that you should be able to sing! We have quite a fast pace of learning, so the ability to read music – and even sight sing – would be helpful, but is not essential. When we perform we don’t use music, so all the notes and words have to be memorised! You’ll find once you’ve learnt a few songs, you’ll be able to sing four or five part harmony at the drop of a hat wherever we go!

If you fancy having a go at our singing style, please contact us by either turning up or let us have your details and we’ll speak to you. If you’re worried about whether you’re good enough – well, you’ll never know till you’ve at least given it a try!

Vacancies

As we’ve just about reached our optimum number of singers (twenty), we only one current vacancy which is in our bass section. You will definitely need a lower voice as the basses provide the ‘oomph’ for the chorus. Our basses can comfortably reach the D below middle C – and most go one or two tones below this. If you think this sounds like you – come and try us out!
